Welcome
As we begin what I hope will be another enjoyable and productive year at Scoil Bhríde I would like to welcome our 14 Junior Infants, Tristan and Aaron. We wish them all well and hope all their days spent in our care will be happy ones.

Staff Changes
We welcome Mr. David Brady to our staff. Mr. Brady is currently teaching 5th and 6th class. I know you all join me in wishing him a long and rewarding career with us.

St Brigid’s GAA
On Monday 19th of September our school welcomed the victorious St Brigid’s Junior C team and (as the inquisitive children found out) the as of yet unnamed Junior C cup!

Members of the winning team were met with rapturous applause. It was particularly exciting to see that most if not all the team received their primary education here in Croghan.

St Brigid’s are on a winning streak and long may it continue! We would like to take this opportunity to wish the Intermediate team the best of luck in their upcoming game(s) and we hope to see them back at our school in the near future with some more silverware.

Parents Council

The Parents Council are a fantastic support to our school. This year we would love to see as many families in our school represented.

House Keeping
Some points to remember:

School begins at 9.20, pupils should be at school not earlier than 9.00am and not later than 9.15am.
As of October 3rd classes for Infants end at 2.00pm and 1st to 6th classes finish at 3.00pm.
For insurance purposes we would urge parents to adhere to the times stipulated as cover does not extend beyond those times and children are therefore on the premises at their own risk.

School uniform must be worn everyday with the exception of PE days.

Please refrain from parking or turning cars in the car park as this presents a health and safety risk to pupils entering or leaving our school premises.
